'squatters'

// home

progressing from my work at the faslane peace camp, i have become increasingly interested in exploring alternative communities and highlighting the prevailing circumstances that link a group of people together.

through my camera i chose to explore and document a community of squatters living temporarily in a disused flat in leeds in north yorkshire, offering a glimpse into the way they shape their most intimate surroundings. by sharing their skills and talents they have developed a strong and vibrant alternative community, living and working to build a home for each other.
